We've had a wonderful Church Fete yesterday - held in Gifford Village Hall rather than its usual garden venue, due to the cold and wet weather. It was a lovely afternoon - thanks to everyone who came along and joined in with the fun, and to the many many helpers who made the day possible, whether in setting up, baking, serving teas, washing dishes, staffing a stall, MCing, painting faces, organising games, raffle or tombola, and in many other ways. We are also very grateful to Gifford Village Hall for hosting us, Gifford Horticultural Society for their amazing support, and all businesses who sponsored the event - Glen Appin, Tesco, Beech & Birch, Humbie Hub and Yester Farm Dairies. The greatest thanks to Claire and Liz who organise and manage it all. We raised more than £3,000 for the work of our church across the parish - thank you all so very much!
