thanksgiving in garvald church

On Sunday afternoon, there was a lovely celebration at Garvald Church, with many local residents and church folks from across the united parish. It was an appreciation and thanksgiving that the Garvald Church building is remaining in the community, led by Anne Raitt. Caroline McGregor offered a very interesting recap of its history over the centuries in the form of a quiz, Brother Seamus told us about the history of Nunraw Abbey, and we looked towards the future as a united parish, as well offering a blessing for the building and the community surrounding it. Barry Maguire and Angus, as well as local band Off Grid musically rounded the event off, before we went for delicious cake and tea in the Stables.
