Funerals |
In the Church of Scotland, we offer baptisms for children and adults, usually as part of one of our Sunday services. If you would like your child or yourself to be baptised in our church, please contact the minister to make further arrangements.
We usually celebrate a Baptism as part of a Sunday morning service (upcoming dates are listed here). Your family and friends are very welcome to join us in this celebration, and we can reserve seating in the front for you. Here you can find some more information about baptism celebrations in our church. |

We offer funeral, thanksgiving and memorial services (primarily to everyone living in our parish, and church members).
We aim to offer family services that are personal to you, and all funeral, thanksgiving and memorial services are planned collaboratively by the family and the minister, with your choices of music, readings, poems and reflections, and personal eulogies and tributes. Funerals, thanksgiving and memorial services are usually arranged through a Funeral Director, however you can also contact us directly. The service can take place in one of our church buildings, at a crematorium or graveside, or elsewhere, as you wish. |

Are you looking for a Christian marriage service, held in a beautiful country church, at one of the many lovely wedding venues surrounding our parish, at one of the magnificent East Lothian beaches, or elsewhere?
We are always glad to welcome wedding couples for their marriage services, which can be held in one of our buildings or other locations, as you wish. We are an inclusive church and welcome all couples.
We aim to offer family services that are personal to you, and all marriage services are planned collaboratively by the couple and the minister, with your choices of music and readings, a reflection tailored to you, and with an opportunity for your family and friends to actively participate in the service.
To discuss getting married, please contact the minister on an informal basis (for the avoidance of doubt, the couple themselves need to speak to the minister, not their family or a wedding planner etc). Please also speak to her about the possibility of having other clergy involved in or leading your wedding service.
In Humbie Church, the very experienced church flower team can also offer bespoke flower decorations for your service.
